Hire Resolve is seeking a proactive Audit Senior for our Vanderbijlpark office. You will manage external audit engagements, review working papers, and mentor junior staff onsite. You will ensure IFRS and ISA compliance and liaise with client management throughout the audit cycle.

The role requires 2–4 years of audit experience, SAICA Articles or near completion, and proficiency with CaseWare and Pastel. Onsite position in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng, with a market-related package.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years external audit experience in a registered firm.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, ISA and local tax legislation.

Audit Senior

Hire Resolve is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Audit Senior to join an established accounting and auditing firm based in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. This full-time role is responsible for executing comprehensive external audit engagements, reviewing working papers, managing junior audit staff, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

Key Performance Areas:

• Audit Planning & Execution: Plan, lead, and execute end-to-end external audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring adherence to professional auditing standards (ISA) and firm methodologies.

• Financial Statement & Working Paper Review: Review financial statements prepared under IFRS, perform detailed analytical reviews, and inspect audit working papers for accuracy and completeness.

• Team Supervision & Mentorship: Guide, train, and review the work of junior audit clerks and trainees throughout the audit cycle.

• Client Liaison & Risk Assessment: Identify audit risks, evaluate internal control environments, and maintain professional working relationships with client management and financial teams.

• Technical Compliance: Ensure all statutory reporting, tax computations, and compliance requirements are fully met prior to partner sign-off.

Minimum Requirements:

• Professional Qualification: Completed or near-completed SAICA Articles (CTA / BCom Honours in Accounting or equivalent is highly advantageous).

• Experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years of external audit experience within a registered auditing and accounting firm environment.

• Technical Mastery: Solid working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and local tax legislation.

• Software Proficiency: Experience working with audit software (such as CaseWare) and Pastel/accounting platforms.

• Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent report‑writing skills, attention to detail, and a deadline‑driven approach.
