Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Audit Manager to lead the internal audit function from their Paarl offices. You will oversee audit engagements, manage a team of auditors, and present findings to senior management and the audit committee.

This senior role requires 7+ years in auditing with at least 2 years in supervision, plus CIA/CA(SA)/CISA certification, and strong leadership capabilities to drive improvements in controls and compliance within the Cape Winelands region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing.
• CIA, CA(SA), or CISA certification mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in internal or external auditing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong understanding of auditing standards, risk management frameworks, and internal control principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of internal auditors.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, communicate findings, and follow up on remediation actions.
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure alignment on audit strategies.
