Job summary

MTN is seeking a Specialist: Internal Audit Data Analytics to strengthen its Fintech and OpCo analytics capabilities in Johannesburg. The role focuses on enabling the internal audit function through analytics, automation and scalable testing frameworks.

You will translate audit objectives into practical analytics scripts and build dashboards for ongoing monitoring of key risk indicators. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external partners is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data science or related field.
2–5 years of experience in data analytics.
Strong technical skills in data mining and analytics tools such as SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Python and R.

Responsibilities

Support the Internal Audit analytics roadmap by identifying practical analytics use cases across Group Fintech and OpCos.
Develop scalable Internal Audit analytics and continuous auditing approaches.
Standardise audit analytics scripts, dashboards, testing routines and reporting templates across markets.
Document reusable analytics approaches and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Use automation and data-led techniques to improve audit coverage, efficiency and risk detection.
Monitor emerging data analytics, AI, ML and visualisation trends relevant to Internal Audit.
