The opportunity

Our client is a small, well-established auditing and accounting practice based in Murrayfield, Pretoria. The firm is led by a hands‑on Managing Partner who is a CA(SA) and RA(SA).

As part of expanding the audit side of the business, the firm is looking to appoint an Audit and Accounting Practitioner who is seeking meaningful long‑term engagement within a smaller personal practice environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of audits and independent reviews
  • Preparation of audit working papers and supporting documentation
  • Liaising with clients and assisting with audit‑related queries
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Preparation of tax returns
  • SARS dispute resolution
Minimum requirements
  • Financial Accounting degree (B. Com, CTA or equivalent)
  • Completed articles
  • SAICA‑track candidates preferred; strong SAIPA candidates with relevant audit exposure will also be considered (candidates who have completed articles but still need to write APC will be considered)
  • Afrikaans proficiency (home language or near‑native) is essential, as audit files, historical records and client communication are predominantly in Afrikaans
  • Comfortable working in a small‑er, professional practice environment
  • Exposure to Draftworx will be advantageous

Salary: ± R40 000 – R45 000 per month
