Key Responsibilities

• Setup, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment for conferences, hybrid events, and studio productions.
• Ensure clear, uninterrupted audio and high-quality video for both live and virtual audiences.
• Configure and manage streaming software / hardware for virtual events.
• Conduct pre-event testing, on-site operation, and post-event equipment breakdown.
• Perform basic editing and deliver final media outputs to clients.
• Maintain accurate inventory and equipment logs, ensuring all systems are in show-ready condition.
• Provide on-site client support and communicate technical updates clearly and professionally.

Preferred Competencies

• Knowledge of multilingual interpretation systems and hybrid conferencing setups.
• Experience working in multicultural or international environments.

Fluency in English; knowledge of French, Portuguese, or Swahili is an added advantage.

Qualification and Skills required

• Diploma or Degree in Broadcasting, Computer Science, Audio Visual Technology, or Coding (or equivalent technical qualification).
• Minimum 3 years' proven experience as an AV Technician, preferably within NGOs, international organisations, or event production companies.
• Demonstrated experience in cross-border travel and familiarity with customs procedures within the SADC region.
• Strong knowledge of audio systems (mixers, microphones, PA systems, signal routing).
• Competence in video systems (cameras, switchers, LED walls, projectors, HDMI / SDI workflows).
• Experience in live streaming platforms (Zoom, Teams, vMix, OBS, etc.).
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of audio / video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).

Advantageous

• Knowledge of interpretation systems (Bosch, Taiden, Yarema) and hybrid conferencing setups.
