About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Athletic Director to lead and develop their comprehensive athletics program in Mahikeng . This senior leadership position is responsible for the overall administration, management, and strategic direction of all sports teams and athletic facilities. You will oversee coaching staff, manage budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and academic success among student-athletes. This is a challenging yet rewarding role for an individual committed to advancing athletics and student development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the athletic department , including recruitment, retention, and development of staff and student-athletes.
• Develop and manage the annual athletic department budget , ensuring fiscal responsibility and optimal resource allocation.
• Oversee the scheduling, organization, and execution of all athletic competitions and events.
• Ensure compliance with all institutional, conference, and governing body rules and regulations.
• Promote a positive and supportive environment that emphasizes academic achievement, character development, and athletic excellence.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Sports Management, Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in athletic administration or management, with demonstrated leadership success.
• Deep understanding of collegiate or high school athletic operations, compliance, and governance.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, supervise staff, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
