Job Purpose

To supplement the skillset and offering of the existing SLR Africa Mine Waste and Geotechnical Engineering teams.

Minimum Requirements

• A civil engineer with at least 5-10 years of experience with tailings and water dam design and associated lining systems.
• At least 10-15 years of experience with general engineering design project management, construction contract administration and construction site supervision.
• More than 5 years project management experience
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Geo-Slope / Slide
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing to travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Design of tailings and associated water dams, and related infrastructure including costing and reporting.
• Project engineering management.
• Management of clients, internal and external teams.
• Tender and contract documentation and administration.
• Construction monitoring and management.
• Site visits and audits.
• General assistance with broader civil engineering activities (hydrology, water balances, structural)
