The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum development, supervision ofpostgraduate students, lecturing and involvement in research in the related field of ComputerScience and Information Technology and running the day-to-day affairs of Information TechnologyDepartment. The responsibilities will also include providing academic leadership in specific areasof Computer Science and Information Technology, administration and management of subject tuitionand management of staff members assigned to the department/Research Projects.
The appointed personwill also support faculty research initiatives by undertaking research that contributes to thefaculty's strategic objectives. The candidate will also be responsible for raising the standard of scholarship and research in theDepartment of Information Technology by initiating some research projects in the field, providingmentorship for junior staff members, and supervising postgraduate students up to the doctorallevel. In addition, the incumbent will still perform all the functions of academics, includingteaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising students, community engagement,curriculum development, academic administration, and conducting research.
