We co-create engineering solutions that have a positive impact and improve people’s lives. Zutari values inclusion and recognises the importance of a diverse, talented workforce, believing that people need other people to succeed.

The role and the kind of talent we’re looking for:

  • We relentlessly pursue those rainmakers who are different; those who say it can be done; those who seek alternative innovative solutions and who share our hope of making an impact in the lives of our fellow Africans and of leaving a legacy that can benefit future generations.
  • We’re growing our climate change team and we’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self‑motivated person to take up the role of an associate climate change director.

Role responsibilities:

  • Managing large climate change projects and clients
  • Selling climate change and sustainability services, and business development
  • Supporting the Director to grow the climate change team and mentor junior consultants
  • Technical leadership

Minimum requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a consulting firm
  • Experience in management of large projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, development finance, environmental management or equivalent (master’s degree or PhD will be an added advantage)
  • Technical competency in two of the following areas: climate change adaptation, climate resilience, climate risk and vulnerability, climate finance, climate policy or ESG
  • Experience in selling sustainability services, business development and client management.

We believe that a diverse work force is key to our business success. We seek the best people for our jobs based on their skills, qualifications and experience. We embrace the principle of equal opportunity in employment, and we work towards eliminating all forms of unlawful discrimination in our employment practices. In support of diversity and the equal opportunity principle, preference will be given to individuals from designated groups within South Africa.
