Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, opinions, contracts, and briefs for counsel.
• Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries.
• Facilitating consultations with clients and counsel.
• Managing case files and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Necessary administrative duties.
• Managing a portfolio of legal matters independently.
• Representing clients in court, creditors meetings, arbitrations, mediations, which may require travel to other cities and provinces.
• Negotiating settlements and drafting agreements.
• Collaborating with colleagues to plan and execute case strategies effectively.

• Admission as an attorney in South Africa.
• Right of Appearance in all courts (negotiable).
• Strong drafting and litigation skills.
• Own vehicle and driver’s license.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
• Understands the nature of legal work and recognises that practising law doesn’t fit into standard office hours.
