Overview

Are you ready to take the next step in your warehouse career? We're looking for a hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager - DC to help us drive operational excellence, improve efficiency, and support the seamless running of our Distribution Centre. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a strong background in warehouse leadership and logistics management.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping.
  • Manage warehouse layout, logistics flows, and ensure orders and shipments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Implement quality control standards, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Monitor performance, analyse data, and drive continuous improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead and support inventory management, including audits, cycle counts, forecasting, and ERP/WMS usage.
  • Promote and enforce health & safety standards in line with South African legislation.
  • Guide and mentor warehouse managers, supervisors, and staff, fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Assist in managing facilities, equipment maintenance, vendor relationships, and cost controls.
  • Prepare and present key reports, while contributing to strategic projects and improvement initiatives.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics management (assistant manager, supervisor, or similar).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide large teams.
  • Solid knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP/WMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
