Overview

A reputable and growing company in the distribution and warehouse management industry is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join their team.

This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can oversee daily warehouse operations, manage stock and deliveries, and ensure excellent customer service through efficient order processing and distribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities ensuring that orders and returns are processed timeously and accurately.
  • Coordinate daily logistics planning, fleet management, and delivery schedules to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage and improve stock control including receiving, labeling, bin location management, and daily stock counts.
  • Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with company procedures, health and safety standards.
  • Lead and motivate the warehouse team ensuring productivity and high-quality service delivery.
  • Conduct regular reporting on operational activities, queries, and stock figures.
  • Monitor and resolve claims, delivery delays, and problematic parcels promptly.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and compliance with OHASA requirements.
Job Experience & Skills Required
  • National Diploma or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in warehouse or distribution management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP or stock management systems.
