Job summary

Fidelity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Tech (Wireman) to support the Installations Technician with alarm system cabling, drilling and panel connections. You will power-up and walk-test systems, and handle cabling for Intercom, CCTV and Access Control installations.

The role requires at least Grade 12 and 1 year of wireman experience; PSIRA Grade C is advantageous. Practical electrical knowledge is beneficial, and you will work on-site at client premises under supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Wireman.
• Practical electrical/electronic knowledge advantageous.
• PSIRA registration (Grade C) advantageous.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To assist the Installations Technician with installing of cabling of an alarm system, drilling and be able to connect detectors and the panel. Be able to power-up and walk-test the system. A Technical Assistant at this level is suitably qualified and experienced (to the Company's standards) to install the cabling of an alarm system as well as Intercom, CCTV & Access Control systems, do drilling on his own, connect detectors and the alarm control panel and also to power-up and walk-test the alarm system without the help of a technician present.

DUTIES
