Main Purpose of the Job

Oversee and optimise the technical operations within the facility, acting as the management representative for quality management, continuous improvement, and occupational health and safety related to engineering aspects.

Key Responsibility Areas
  • Manage the maintenance of building, plant and equipment.
  • Support and manage technical projects within the hospital.
  • Mitigate technical operations risk within the hospital.
  • Oversee and manage on‑site contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure quality management and continuous improvement within technical operations.
  • Manage stakeholder relations and client service within the technical environment.
  • Lead and manage the technical team.
  • Control department budget and finances.
Required Education
  • NQF Level 6 Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with Thermodynamics and Electrical Technology, passed at 2nd‑year level.
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of post‑graduate engineering experience with HVAC and auxiliary electrical power supplies exposure.
  • Experience within a facility management environment (desired).
