Placements24 is seeking an Assistant Retail Buyer for our client in Mahikeng, North West. You will support the Senior Buyer with market research, supplier communications and inventory planning to ensure product assortment aligns with brand strategy.

The role requires strong analytical and numerical skills, good negotiation abilities and proficiency in Excel. Hybrid work options may be available to balance performance goals with personal life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with ability to interpret data.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related business software.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Senior Buyer in trend analysis and product selection.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, products and competitors.
• Communicate with suppliers to gather product info, negotiate prices and place orders.
• Analyze sales data and inventory to forecast demand and manage stock.
• Monitor product performance and provide insights for buying decisions.
• Prepare reports on buying activities, performance and market insights.
• Collaborate with marketing and merchandising to align assortment with promotions.
• Ensure timely delivery of merchandise and resolve supply chain issues.
• Maintain accurate product and supplier databases.
• Support development of seasonal buying plans and strategies.
