Assistant Restaurant Manager :

One of Plettenberg Bay's leading restaurants is seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join a dynamic team. This position calls for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, leads by example and brings a positive hands‑on attitude to daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily front‑of‑house operations.
  • Ensure smooth service delivery in a high‑volume environment.
  • Lead, train and motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage cash‑ups, stock control and general administration.
  • Oversee reservations, customer relations and floor management.
  • Assist with scheduling, staff discipline and performance management.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation and service quality.
Requirements
  • Minimum 23 years experience in a management or supervisory role within a busy restaurant.
  • Own reliable transport is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of PILOT POS or similar systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Physically fit and able to handle long hours on your feet.
  • Strong administrative ability and attention to detail.
  • A positive, outgoing and people‑focused attitude; we want a leader who inspires and uplifts their team.
