Job summary

Together Staffing group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a Pretoria-based engineering consultancy. You will lead planning, design and delivery of bridge and civil projects, providing technical direction and mentoring junior professionals.

The role requires a minimum of five years in civil engineering, with at least three years on bridge projects, and a track record in site supervision, construction monitoring and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' civil engineering experience.
• At least 3 years' exposure to bridge/structural infrastructure projects.
• Registration with ECSA or progress toward Pr. Eng would be advantageous.
• Experience with site supervision, construction monitoring and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer with supervision and management of bridge construction projects from commencement through to completion.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
• Monitor construction progress, programme and site activities and report on potential delays or issues.
