Job summary

Sutherland Seedlings near Ixopo, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a disciplined, motivated candidate to join our team as a nursery supervisor. You will oversee seedling propagation, manage growing activities, and ensure quality across the nursery.

The role reports to the General Manager and requires a horticulture qualification, reliability, strong organisation, and fluent English and Zulu. Own transport and a valid driver’s license are essential to coordinate dispatch and maintenance tasks.

• Manage dispatch operations, preparing orders and loading of delivery vehicles.
• Manage maintenance activities

Candidate requirements:

• Hold a horticulture qualification and with relevant industry experience.
• Must be an honest, reliable and hardworking individual who “gets their hands dirty”
• Have good organisation and time management skills
• Have a positive attitude; be conscientious and work well as part of a team
• Have a desire to work in the agriculture industry and produce excellent quality plants
• Speak fluent English and Zulu
• Have own transport and a valid driving license
