An exciting vacancy exists at Upington International Airport for an experienced Assistant Manager Security Services within the Enterprise Security Division.
The successful candidate will be reporting to Manager Aviation Security, and will be responsible but not limited to the following: Provide a safe and secure environment and manage Security Personnel. Conduct resource planning. Develop Human Capital in line with relevant policies and procedures, including the Work Skills Plan. Ensure Security thoroughness and responsiveness. Oversee shift management and communication pile and ensure compliance and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and inspect registers where applicable. Investigate and report all security incidents / deficiencies, non-conformances and complaints at high level and implement remedial action. Ensure crime prevention measures are in place and ensure all criminal activities are reported. Identify and implement contingency plans to mitigate identified security risks. Ensure timely reporting, follow-up and feedback on all incidents and accidents. Ensure all internal and external Stakeholders comply with Security policies and procedures. Build and maintain sound internal and external stakeholder / customer relations whilst balancing enforcement with professionalism. Collaborate with SAPS and local government agencies. Respond to all emergencies in the prescribed manner and ensure that the team is able to respond adequately. Plan, organise and ensure training for emergencies. Manage budget within relevant area. Manage the entire project process within relevant area. Manage the security component of risk within relevant area. Manage and coordinate risk and threat analyses and mitigate action plans. Stay abreast of global security threats and security technology advancements. Attend to and assist with customer and stakeholder complaints and compliments, including escalated complaints and ensure remedial action.
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: A Diploma in the relevant area is essential. A Degree in Security/Law/Risk/Compliance is advantageous. 4 years operational experience is essential. 2 years Supervisory experience is essential. Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade A is Recommended. South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Dangerous Goods / Safe Passage / Basic Aviation Security Certification is recommended. National Key Point (NKP) Certification Firearm Competency National Key point Authorised Guard Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
