A leading logistics company is seeking a Warehouse Management System Key User in Kempton Park, South Africa. The role involves ensuring effective use and improvement of the WMS, supporting warehouse operations, and providing training to staff. The WMS Key User is responsible for ensuring the effective use, support, and continuous improvement of the Warehouse Management System within daily operations. Acting as the link between warehouse operations, IT teams, and management, the Key User ensures smooth system performance, provides end‑user support and training, and participates in system upgrades or process improvement initiatives.
Execution of System Driven Warehouse activities to ensure maximum productivity and work load balancing.
Serve as the first point of contact for warehouse staff on WMS‑related issues.
Monitor system performance and ensure transactions are processed correctly.
Troubleshoot errors and cascade unresolved issues to the WMS / IT support team.
Test new functionalities, upgrades, or patches before deployment. Manage UAT for system updates and changes.
Ensure accuracy of master data (SKU setup, bin locations, stock attributes).
Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock adjustments, and reconciliation.
Validate inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse transactions in the system.
Report system or process anomalies to management.
Train and guide warehouse staff on WMS processes and best practices.
Update and maintain user manuals and process documentation.
Act as a subject‑matter expert during audits and compliance checks.
Analyze daily operations for process bottlenecks or system inefficiencies.
Suggest improvements in workflows and system usage.
Support new project rollouts, WMS implementations, and integrations.
Reasonable local and international travel requirement to use knowledge, skills and experience in support of relevant DSV business objectives.
Knowledge of key functions and features of systems used by DSV, in support of solutions development, sales activities and implementations; Knowledge of RedPrairie / Blue Yonder / JDA will be beneficial.
Support current instances of WMS implementations.
Assess current WMS solutions.
Liaison with various global IT teams including EDI, IT Solutions and support, Global BCM application engineering.
