Overview

The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day efficient execution of the JSRA & SITI SRA Business Plan and acts as Manager when appropriate. The position provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and stakeholder liaison support across all facets of SRA operations, including the direct oversight of various service areas to ensure efficiency.

  1. Operational and Organisational Management
    • Oversee the implementation of operational systems, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all functions.
    • Manage the coordination and performance of outsourced service providers, ensuring strict compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Coordinate scheduled and preventative maintenance for all operational systems and equipment in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
    • Contribute to the compilation of comprehensive performance, incident, and financial reports for the Management and Board.
  2. Public Safety & Security Oversight
    • Supervise control room staff and public safety teams, providing ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
    • Oversee the day-to-day management and optimal use of all safety and security systems, including CCTV, Public Safety Information Management (PSIM), AI-based alert systems, and communication platforms.
    • Manage the collection of information and crime intelligence, ensuring accurate reporting of statistics and conducting crime pattern analysis.
    • Serve as an operational point of contact for incident management, liaising with law enforcement agencies and security partners under the guidance of the Manager.
  3. Urban Management and Public Space Maintenance
    • Actively monitor the quality of public space services, including cleaning, maintenance, and urban improvement projects.
    • Manage an "Issues Register / Incident Management System" by logging service faults, tracking repairs with service providers, and ensuring timely resolution per Service Level Agreements.
    • Identify and expedite public space maintenance requirements and infrastructure needs to the relevant municipal departments.
    • Look for issues that go against common values and would require collective or societal change to resolve.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
    • Assist in preparing and distributing regular, proactive communications to stakeholders, including newsletters, operational updates, and safety updates.
    • Develop and maintain positive, collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including community members, business owners, and municipal officials.
    • Support the coordination and execution of public meetings, community forums, and other stakeholder engagement events.
  5. Administrative and Compliance
    • Maintain organised administrative and compliance records, including correspondence, financial logs for budgeting and procurement, and stakeholder databases.
    • Investigate and facilitate the resolution of any non-conformance issues related to systems, staff, or service providers.
    • Ensure all operational activities and reporting comply with organisational policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Experience of 5 years in a Security Management position, operational management.
  • Excellent communication skills – client engagement, members of public and management.
  • Solid working knowledge of team / staff management.
  • Experience with investigation report compilation.
