A leading financial services company in Pretoria is seeking an individual to assist Artisans and Technicians in maintaining equipment and ensuring machine availability with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate should have a Matric or N3 certification in Mechanical/Electrical and relevant licenses, along with problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills. The role involves compliance with safety regulations and effective execution of maintenance tasks.

Job Summary

To assist Artisans and Technicians to support machine availability with minimum downtime by effectively addressing emergencies, breakdowns and scheduled services.

Responsibilities
  • To assist Artisans and Technicians with executing all maintenance activities to the required standard.
  • To ensure resources, tools and equipment are available to perform preventative maintenance effectively as instructed by the Artisans and Technicians.
  • To perform housekeeping duties for the workshop and other working areas.
  • To ensure health, safety, environmental and quality regulations and standards are adhered to in line with the legal requirements.
  • To comply with internal policies and procedures.
  • To complete small projects as identified and under the supervision of a qualified person.
  • To actively identify and report potential hazards in order to mitigate risks.
  • To ensure Health, Safety and Environmental regulations are adhered to in line with the legal requirements for both SABN employees and contractors.
Qualifications
  • Matric or N3 Mechanical / Electrical (Essential)
  • Forklift license, Cherry Picker and Tractor license (Essential)
  • 1-year experience in a technical environment.
  • Basic Mechanical / Electrical Engineering principles.
