ASSISTANT LODGE MANAGER (5 HOSPITALITY)
Paterson, Eastern Cape Province.

Compensation: Salary on Offer – R21 800.00 per month. Live‑in accommodation provided.
Minimum Essential Qualifications
- Matric
 
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management (ESSENTIAL)
 
- Minimum of 3–5 years Lodge Management experience within 5 establishments
 
- Must have held the role of Assistant Lodge Manager / Duty Manager / Guest Relations Manager (ESSENTIAL)
 
- Proven industry experience in lodge management
 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
 
- High levels of attention to detail
 
- Strong leadership & organisational skills
 
- Computer proficiency: MS Office, POS, Opera PMS Systems (ESSENTIAL)
 
- Valid Driver’s Licence (no endorsements) (ESSENTIAL)
 
- Willing to accept LIVE‑IN position on site (ESSENTIAL)
 
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee lodge operations, guest satisfaction, service levels, supervision of lodge complement, coordinate teams, training sessions, develop policies.
 
- Implement cost‑saving initiatives and maintain lodge equipment through preventive maintenance.
 
- Take responsibility for overall lodge operations and performance in absence of Manager.
 
- Manage cash handling to minimize variances.
 
- Maintain effective stock management.
 
- Monitor guest feedback on platforms (Guest Revu & Trip Advisor).
 
- Assist the lodge manager to oversee day‑to‑day lodge team service operations.
 
- Uphold and elevate the service standards provided by the lodge team.
 
- Coordinate departmental teams to optimise guest service delivery.
 
- Conduct targeted training sessions to enhance technical and soft skills of lodge team.
 
- Achieve quality improvement targets set by management.
