A diversified energy company in Gauteng seeks an experienced Assistant IFRIS Specialist for a five-year fixed-term position. The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and 5-8 years of IFRIS Specialist experience in a large organization or accounting firm. Responsibilities include assessing energy asset transactions, advising on accounting treatments, and preparing financial reports. Additional desirable skills include advanced knowledge of financial reporting standards and excellent communication abilities.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL VACANCY : ASSISTANTIFRIS SPECIALIST : FIVE YEAR FIXED-TERM
CEF is a Schedule 2 state owned diversified energy company reporting to the Department of Mineral & Petroleum Resources.
The Mandate of CEF is to contribute to the security of energy supply of South Africa and the Region through exploration, acquisition, development, marketing and strategic partnership.
It is derived from the CEF Act (No 38 of ) and the Ministerial directives issued thereafter.
The assistant accountant assesses the transactions on acquisition of energy assets and provides advice on accounting treatment of transactions; participate in the project investment activities and provide accounting advice; review financial statements and related assessment reports.
Matric and bachelor's degree (NQF 7) in accounting or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of 5–8 years' experience as an IFRIS Specialist that must include experience in providing IFRIS advice in a large organization or accounting firm, as well as the preparation, supervision, and review of financial statements.
Registration as a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) is an added advantage.
An Honours Degree (NQF 8) or a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance or a related field is an added advantage.
