Wild Dreams Hospitality in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a confident, safety‑conscious guide to support the Head Guide with daily guiding operations while mentoring junior guides across a large, immersive bush environment. The role offers a live‑in position and a monthly salary.

Qualifications

• FGASA Level 2 and Full Trails Guide qualification strongly preferred; candidates with strong practical guiding experience will also be considered.
• Proven track record conducting game drives and guest interpretation in a lodge or reserve environment
• Sound knowledge of flora, fauna, and ecosystems relevant to the KwaZulu-Natal region
• Valid driver's license; PDP where required

Responsibilities

• Conduct game drives and guided walks, delivering an exceptional guest experience
• Support and deputise for the Head Guide across daily guiding operations
• Mentor and assist in the training and development of junior guides
• Maintain vehicle and equipment standards, reporting any maintenance needs
• Uphold all safety protocols during drives, walks, and guest interactions
• Assist with guide roster planning and daily briefings where required
• Build and maintain strong knowledge of the reserve, wildlife, and guest offerings
• Represent the property's standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times

• FGASA Level 2 and Full Trails Guide qualification strongly preferred; candidates with strong practical guiding experience will also be considered
• Proven track record conducting game drives and guest interpretation in a similar lodge or reserve environment
• Sound knowledge of flora, fauna, and ecosystems relevant to the KwaZulu‑Natal region
• Strong firearm competency and rifle handling skills, where applicable
• Excellent guest engagement and storytelling ability
• Natural leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and support junior guides
• Reliable, disciplined, and safety-focused approach to all guiding activities
• Valid driver's licence; PDP where required
