We are a team dedicated to excellence in every aspect, from our creative menu to our impeccable service. Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant / Floor Manager to join our dedicated front of house team.

The successful candidate will be a leader on the restaurant floor, working closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure the seamless execution of daily operations. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of service, enhancing the guest experience, and supporting our staff. Key Responsibilities

  1. Floor Management and Service Excellence: Supervise and lead the front-of-house team during service, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. Maintain a strong presence on the floor, anticipating and addressing guest needs and concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure all staff members adhere to Salsify's service standards, including appearance, knowledge of the menu, and guest interaction. Manage the flow of service, from greeting and seating guests to the timely delivery of courses and final billing. Be knowledgeable about Salsify's tasting menu, wine list, and cocktail program to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations. Resolve any guest complaints or issues with grace and professionalism, ensuring a positive outcome and maintaining the restaurant's reputation.
  2. Staff Management and Development: Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of all front-of-house staff. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts while meeting labor cost objectives. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate important updates, service goals, and special guest requests. Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to staff, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating the team to work together to achieve common goals.
  3. Operational and Administrative Duties: Assist the Restaurant Manager with administrative tasks, including reservations, seating arrangements, and special event coordination. Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash up and daily reporting. Ensure the dining areas are impeccably clean, organized, and set up correctly before and after each service. Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and conducting stock takes to maintain appropriate levels. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

  • 2-5 years of proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a fine dining or high-end hospitality environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to handle pressure with a calm and professional demeanor.

  • A relevant qualification in hospitality management is a plus.
  • Must have own reliable transport.
