Qualifications

  • Analyze production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
  • Prepare production reports and submit them to key decision-makers.
  • Regularly inspect finished products to determine quality standards.
  • Research and development (R&D) of new products.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in chemistry
  • Bachelor's or associate degree with coursework in production management, operations management, or similar
  • Previous experience in a cosmetic industry preferred
  • 5-10 years of formulation, lab, or cosmetic production experience
  • Exceptional analytical ability to solve production-related concerns
  • Knowledge of procuring materials, equipment, and labor throughout the production process
  • Proficiency in quality control, managing budgets, and production costing
  • Competence with computer-based administration, record-keeping, and procurement systems
  • Ability to work independently under the Factory Manager and as part of a production team
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage human resources and liaise with other departments
  • Availability to work extended hours to meet deadlines when necessary
  • Excellent leadership skills including team and shift planning
  • Knowledge of ISO 22716 and GMP standards

  • Assist the Factory Manager in managing the factory effectively
  • Research and development (R&D) of new products
  • Ensure that production goals and targets are met
  • Effectively manage and motivate staff
  • Ensure all relevant compliance
  • Schedule and coordinate production timelines to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Liaise with suppliers to order and manage inventory of raw materials and ensure their timely delivery
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation to track progress and efficiency
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures to meet production standards and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with the finance department to manage production budgets and control expenses
  • Facilitate communication between production teams and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Organize training sessions for production staff on new equipment or production techniques
  • Inspection of equipment and floorspace for hygiene
  • Daily checking and ensuring work environment, equipment, machinery and surfaces are clean and sanitised
  • Check fill levels and ensure filling machines are calibrated regularly
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Production - checking hourly that team is meeting targets and identifying bottlenecks and fixing issues immediately – report issues to Factory Manager
