We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Engineer’s Representative to join our team on a bridge construction project in the Eastern Cape. This is a site-based, position offering hands‑on experience in a dynamic engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Engineer’s Representative in overseeing all construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate daily site records, including progress reports, material usage, and measurements.
  • Support with contract administration, documentation, and project reporting.
  • Coordinate with inspectors, survey teams, and testing laboratories to ensure material quality and compliance.
  • Participate in final inspections, snag list management, and project handover processes.
Minimum Requirements
  • National Diploma, BTech, or BEng Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • Registered with ECSA as a Pr Tech Eng or Pr Techni Eng.
  • Minimum 4 years’ post‑graduation site experience.
  • Proven experience on at least one bridge construction project in a supervisory or representative capacity.
  • Completed Labour‑Intensive Construction (LIC) training at NQF Level 5.
  • Must be willing to reside on‑site full‑time for the duration of the contract (accommodation provided).
