A governmental organization in Cape Town seeks a qualified individual to manage procurement and financial functions. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in procurement or financial management, holds a relevant diploma or degree, and possesses strong analytical and project management skills. This role includes supervising staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with legislation. Competitive salary and benefits apply.
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma / B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, financial management or people management.
Manage and supervise staff regarding the following functions and perform tasks in relation to : Track the programmes budget management and procurement; Render financial, budget and contract management support services; Render and perform office administration support services; Render logistical support to management and forums; Participate in recruitment and selection; Motivate, train and guide staff; Determine workflow requirements, allocate duties and monitor outcomes and manage staff performance.
Knowledge of the following : Policy development; Procurement legislation and practices; Budget process and finance practises; National and Provincial legislation and instruments pertaining to financial management and procurement; Human resource management policies and procedures.
R - R per annum (Salary level 9)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments / proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
