A leading cruise line is seeking an enthusiastic assistant to work closely with the Cruise Director, planning events and engaging guests on board. The ideal candidate has experience in customer service or entertainment, excellent communication skills, and is able to work flexible hours. Key responsibilities include managing activities, providing exceptional service, and collaborating with teams to enhance the guest experience.
- Assist the Cruise Director in planning and executing a variety of onboard activities and events, including games, shows, and theme nights On Board Cruise Ship
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure that all activities and events run smoothly
- Host and emcee events, and engage with guests to create a fun and energetic atmosphere
- Manage and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for onboard activities
- Conduct safety briefings and assist with emergency procedures as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with the entertainment team to create and implement new and innovative activities and events
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling and budget management
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for improvements to the onboard experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or entertainment role, preferably in the cruise industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proven ability to engage and entertain a large audience
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree in hospitality or related field is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
