Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Assistant Credit Control Manager. Your role will involve granting credit to customers, preparing financial reports, managing relationships with key accounts, and ensuring compliance with service agreements. Ideal candidates will have a B.Com degree or equivalent, along with 5+ years of experience in credit control. Excellent interpersonal and team management skills are required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in the Credit Control environment as a Team Leader/Supervisor.
  • Knowledge of legislation related to credit granting and debt recovery.
  • Ability to manage staff and administration systems.

Our client in the manufacturing industry are currently seeking the skills of an Assistant Credit Control Manager to be based in Weltevredenpark

Main job function

Granting of credit facility to new & existing customers within credit mandate imposed by the company policy

Preparation of reports on status of overdue accounts and provision for bad debts

Accountable for On-boarding of new customers and managing Key Accounts team

Managing the rehabilitation of accounts to ensure that credit exposure is minimized

Compilation of month-end close-off reports for external and internal stakeholders.

Conducting of client visits to determine and address business needs and requirements.

Providing input into strategy relating to credit management of high risk accounts.

Managing the strategic relationships with key accounts customer base.

Managing service level agreements to ensure that debt is recovered.

Qualifications

B.Com Degree or Diploma in Credit Management. or Credit Management Accreditation (ICM)

Criteria

Minimum 5 years in the Credit Control environment as a Team Leader / Supervisor with broader understanding of corporate / key accounts.

Knowledge of legislation in respect of granting credit and recovery of debt.i.e NCA, CPA, liquidation and business rescue proceedings

Ability to manage staff and administration systems, results driven, excellent interpersonal skills.
