Job summary

Job description
Purpose of this role

To assist financial accounting unit in the day-to-day processes of the unit. To assist and give support to the reporting of the company's finances.

Key Accountabilities, Measures & Interfaces
  • Prepare monthly and weekly cash‑flow process suppliers' invoices
  • Prepare monthly supplier reconciliation
  • Fixed assets reconciliation
  • Prepare month‑end journals
  • Assist in preparation of month‑end GL reconciliations
  • Lease liability provisions and accruals
  • Prepare 30‑day payment report
  • Key measures: Number of audit observations; Submission / preparation of accurate and complete work on time; Compliance with procedural and legislative requirements; Management of client relationships and key stakeholders
  • Key interfaces: Other business unit particularly, Procurement, Marketing, Risk Management, Office management, Human resource, Legal and Underwriting; ECIC Executives and Managers; Internal and External Auditors
Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Financial Management / Accounting; 2 – 3 year's experience in a financial institution.

  • Knowledge: IFRS, Tax, Auditing, PFMA; Adequate financial statement analysis skills;
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels;
