Job summary

A prominent gaming company is seeking an Assistant Accountant to manage financial data and support accounts payable and receivable functions. Job description
Overview

The Assistant Accountant is an operational role, primarily centered around capturing and reconciling financial data in the accounting system. Additionally, the role also supports the Accounts Payable and Receivable function.

Responsibilities
  • Capturing the cashbook daily
  • Raising and receipting purchase orders
  • Capture invoices daily, with correct VAT allocations per country
  • Generate revenue invoices for billing purposes
  • Ensure invoices and new suppliers are approved in accordance with group delegation of authority policy
  • Creation of fixed assets in the fixed asset module
  • Creation of accruals and prepayments
  • Preparation of bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
  • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Preparation of audit packs and responding to audit requests
  • Preparation of payment batches and pay packs in accordance with Group AP requirements
  • Monitor the ageing of debtors and creditors
  • Review vendor onboarding packs and ensure all necessary details have been gathered and validated prior to capture
  • Weekly cash flow planning
  • Adhering to monthly accounting timelines
  • Filing and general administration
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
