Role Overview

As an Asset Manager, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and managing the performance of our clients' solar assets. You will ensure that their solar systems operate at peak efficiency and uphold the contractual agreements between Matriarch and our clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, balancing client needs with business objectives and pursuing excellence in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor solar assets under your management on a daily basis
  • Oversee and execute all preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the sites
  • Serve as the primary contact between clients, the Matriarch team, and external contractors to address and resolve faults promptly
  • Deliver a comprehensive performance report for each site to clients within the first two weeks of the following month
  • Update the Central Maintenance File with monthly performance figures and compare them against targets by the 5th day of the following month
  • Submit monthly maintenance budgets to the O&M Manager by the third Friday of the current month
  • Update monthly loss attributions for all Performance Guarantee sites
  • Ensure monthly performance reports are accurate and sent on time
  • Resolve system faults promptly, following correct procedures and within client SLAs
  • Be recognised as an expert advisor to clients by demonstrating a thorough understanding of their site performances
  • Develop suitable maintenance schedules and cost contract offers for clients
  • Complete the handover from the Projects Team
  • Update the Central Maintenance File with accurate site details, including system targets
  • Ensure billing sheets are accurate for the finance team's monthly billing process
  • Set up report templates with the correct targets confirmed on Techsitter
  • Identify and address underperformance issues to minimise system downtime
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with the client's contract
  • Follow invoicing and PO processes in a timely manner
  • Ensure planned maintenance is executed according to correct procedures
  • Handle loss attributions and penalty payout calculations for Performance Guarantee sites
  • Maintain accuracy in system targets and tariffs
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy), Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) technology and its operation.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and fault resolution in solar energy systems.
  • Experience in asset management within the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar energy.
  • Proven track record in managing performance and maintenance of solar assets.
  • Hands‑on experience in overseeing and executing preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Experience liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to address and resolve issues.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering performance reports and managing asset registers and fault logs.
  • Proficiency in analysing performance data and comparing it against targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, balancing their needs with business objectives.
  • Experience in managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Experience in developing maintenance schedules and cost contract offers.
  • Proficiency in information management, including updating files, ensuring billing accuracy, and handling invoicing and PO processes.
