SUMMARY

Our client, a boutique investment firm based in Northern Suburbs Cape Town, is seeking an Asset Administrator to join their team.

POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities
  • Trade process- understanding of end-to-end trade process, ability to capture trade instructions & follow the process through to processing at the Administrator (Curo)
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve queries relating to trades
  • Run Portfolio Details files
  • Follow up on settlement queries with brokers, administrators
  • Run cash & liquidity files
  • Support the Senior Administrator & Team Leader
  • Perform and understand pre-trade compliance checks and alert Analysts before submitting trades
  • Check bank accounts for overdraft status and communicate to relevant parties
  • Save flows and posted cash files timeously
  • Deal with all Finswitch file uploads, including daily prices
  • Facilitate & understand swops margin payments
  • Respond to basic operational queries
  • Facilitate account set-ups with banks, administrators, etc. for new fund / class launches
  • Assist with ballot processes
  • Liaise with LISPs and Manco’s on operational queries – pricing timing updates
  • Open accounts with local and foreign Mancos
  • Resolve cash and custody reconciliation items – daily review and analysis
Requirements
  • 1-2 years work experience within the investment industry as an Administrator
  • Understanding the landscape of the asset administration function
  • Good time management, ability to prioritise and adhere to deadlines
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
