ARTISAN AID (FITTER) – FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Job summary

Glencore in Johannesburg seeks an Artisan Aid to support maintenance and installations in mining and plant settings. You will assist artisans with installations, repairs and maintenance of equipment to standards, and identify faults for reporting to the artisan.

Responsibilities include reporting daily section performance, supporting inspections, and carrying out daily maintenance tasks, both scheduled and unscheduled.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Full N2 certificate with relevant trade theory.
• Applicable Aider certificate required.
• Previous experience as an Artisan Aid in a Mining and plant environment is required.
• Medically fit to work for surface and underground.
