Job summary

Acuity Consultants is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in CAPE TOWN or DURBAN to design, build and deploy AI-driven applications at scale. You will own production AI products, including AI agents, agentic workflows and LLM-powered features, in a fast-moving gaming tech environment.

The role requires hands-on software development with C#/.NET, AWS, and modern AI orchestration tools. You’ll contribute across the full lifecycle from design to deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications

Job description

This is an exceptional opportunity for a SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER with hands-on AI experience to join a leading iGaming company as a SENIOR AI ENGINEER, building and deploying AI agents, agentic workflows and intelligent products at scale.

This role is based in either CAPE TOWN or DURBAN, paying R1.6M – R1.8M PA.

The scale of the business creates significant opportunities to develop AI-driven products that solve real commercial problems, particularly around player retention, personalisation and game recommendations.

You'll join an established AI team with live products already in production, working on the development of new AI applications and the improvement of existing systems.

THE ROLE:

As a Senior AI Engineer, you'll use your strong software engineering background to design, build and deploy AI-driven applications in a large-scale production environment.

You'll work on projects involving AI agents, agentic workflows, LLM-powered applications, game recommendation platforms and intelligent automation, taking ownership of the technical development and deployment of these solutions.

This is a hands-on development role, requiring someone who is actively building software products and has practical experience integrating AI capabilities into production applications.

You'll be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from designing and coding solutions through to AWS deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.

TECH STACK:

C#, .NET, Python, AWS, Docker, REST APIs, LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph, AI Agents, Agentic Workflows and Vector Databases.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years' commercial Software Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on software development skills in C#/.NET
• Strong AWS experience, including deploying applications into production
• Practical experience developing AI-driven applications using LLMs or Generative AI
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, agentic workflows or LLM-based automation
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining production software systems
• Strong understanding of APIs, cloud architecture and scalable backend development
• Python experience would be advantageous
• Exposure to AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph would be advantageous
