Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Perform accounting work and provide support to senior accountants.
  • Prepare client reports, management accounts, and supporting schedules.
  • Handle full bookkeeping and accounting functions up to trial balance (debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals, etc.).
  • Perform VAT calculations, prepare and submit VAT201 returns, and assist with VAT verifications or reviews.
  • Compile annual financial statements.
  • Prepare and submit income tax and provisional tax returns.
  • Maintain SARS accounts and perform registrations/deregistration for Income Tax, PAYE, VAT, and Import/Export licences.
  • Prepare tax clearance applications and manage UIF registration and administration.
  • Prepare audit working papers and assist in financial statement preparation under IFRS for SMEs.
  • Work effectively within a professional audit team environment.
  • Liaise with clients and manage day-to-day client queries.
  • Assist with company secretarial duties, including CIPC filings and statutory compliance.
