A leading recruitment agency in South Africa is seeking an experienced sales professional to drive growth through existing and new customers in the mining sector. Applicants should have a solid background in sales with demonstrable success, fluency in English and Afrikaans, and the ability to read engineering drawings. A driving license and strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective customer relationships and business development. This role requires a proactive, results-driven mindset.
To be responsible for driving sales growth through existing contract and non-contract customers, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong customer relationships
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (both written and verbal).
Grade 12 and a tertiary qualification in Technical, Sales, or Marketing (preferred).
Code B (or Code 8) Driving license
Strong understanding of mining business principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Computer literacy essential Microsoft Office (experience in Syspro will be an advantage).
Proven sales experience in a similar market environment, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Territory and customer base experience non-negotiable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
Strong technical aptitude and product understanding.
Exceptional planning, organising, and problem-solving skills.
Resourceful, efficient, and capability to perform effectively under pressure.
Strong attention to detail, with a results-driven and proactive attitude.
