Placements24 is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of major developments in Welkom, Free State. You will drive delivery from inception to completion, coordinating with design teams, contractors and clients to meet scope, schedule and budget.

This hybrid role demands a degree in Architecture or Construction Management, at least 10 years' leadership in project management, and proficiency with MS Project/Asana and design software.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Architectural Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of exciting projects in Welkom . This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. You will work closely with design teams, contractors, and clients to navigate the complexities of the construction lifecycle, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of architectural projects, from initial planning and design to construction and project close-out.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
• Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and smooth project progression.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns.
• Mitigate project risks and proactively resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• A degree in Architecture , Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and common design software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
