Job summary

Placements24 in Richards Bay is seeking an aspiring Architectural Intern to join our growing practice. This role offers hands-on learning across design conceptualization, drawing production, and site analysis, with a blend of in-office learning and remote project support.

You will work closely with seasoned professionals, gain exposure to CAD/BIM workflows, and develop your technical and design skills in a supportive, collaborative environment with hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of architectural design principles and construction processes.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is advantageous.
• Strong desire to learn and develop technical and design skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively within a team.
• Proactive attitude and ability to manage assigned tasks with diligence.

Responsibilities

• Assist architects and technologists in preparing design presentations and architectural drawings using CAD and BIM software.
• Support the development of project documentation, including specifications and schedules.
• Participate in site visits to gather information, take measurements, and observe construction progress.
• Conduct research on materials, building codes, and industry best practices relevant to ongoing projects.
• Help organize and maintain project files, both physical and digital.
• Collaborate with the team on design exploration and problem-solving tasks.
