Qualifications

Job description

As an Aqua Cast Support Diver, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' underwater filming and photography projects. You will be responsible for assisting the camera crew and talent in achieving the desired shots and ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist camera operators and talent in achieving desired shots by positioning and maneuvering underwater equipment and props
• Ensure the safety of all individuals involved in the filming process
• Conduct pre-dive safety checks and maintain equipment in good working condition
• Perform underwater tasks such as retrieving equipment and props, clearing debris, and setting up underwater scenes
• Communicate effectively with the surface team and follow instructions from the director or production crew
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on and off the vessel
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Valid commercial diving certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial diver
• Experience in underwater filming and photography is preferred
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
• Physically fit and able to handle long periods of time in the water
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for underwater work
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. You will be required to work on various vessels and may be required to travel for extended periods of time. The work schedule may be irregular and may include weekends and holidays.
