Responsibilities

• Assist senior welders in preparing materials for welding, including cutting and grinding.
• Learn and practice welding techniques such as Stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and TIG (GTAW).
• Weld metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity, identifying any defects.
• Operate welding equipment safely and maintain it in good working condition.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Clean and finish welded surfaces to meet quality standards.
• Participate in formal training sessions and theoretical coursework related to welding.
• Follow work orders and instructions from supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the Bloemfontein workshop.
