Job summary

ARCS in Cape Town invites applications for a workshop assistant role. You will support qualified technicians with servicing, maintenance and repairs, assist with inspections, fault finding and diagnostics, and perform basic maintenance under supervision.

You will work in a busy workshop environment, following manufacturer and workshop procedures, using tools correctly, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while continuously developing your technical knowledge and practical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Assist with inspections, fault finding and diagnostics
• Perform basic maintenance and mechanical tasks under supervision
• Assist with component replacements and general workshop duties
• Follow manufacturer and workshop procedures
• Correctly use workshop tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and to a high standard
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and practical skills
