A cruise ship management company is seeking an onboard assistant to support the Purser with administrative tasks and deliver excellent customer service to guests. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and be willing to live onboard for extended periods. Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic maritime environment.
- Assist the Purser with daily administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, preparing reports, and managing inventoryonboard the cruise ship
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Manage onboard cash transactions, including currency exchange and cash advances
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operation of onboard services and activities
- Assist with embarkation and disembarkation procedures for guests, including luggage handling and check-in
- Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company standards
- Attend training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge of onboard operations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
- Must be willing to live and work onboard a cruise ship for extended periods of time
