Job summary

Istaff Recruitment in Stellenbosch is seeking applicants for an Apprentice Plumber apprenticeship. You will learn installation, maintenance and repair of water and drainage systems on residential and commercial properties, guided by experienced master plumbers and safety practices.

This hands-on program offers practical training, mentorship, and a clear route to a recognised trade qualification, with opportunities for a full-time skilled role upon completion.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Strong practical problem-solving abilities.
• Good physical condition and dexterity.
• Willingness to attend technical college for training.
• Good interpersonal skills for client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified plumbers in installing and maintaining water supply and drainage systems.
• Learn to read and interpret plumbing drawings and schematics.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks such as pipe cutting, fitting, and soldering.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing leaks, blockages, and other plumbing issues.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes and plumbing regulations.
• Maintain tools and equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
