Standerton Oil Mills - Fitter & Electrical Apprenticeship Programme

Are you passionate about engineering and eager to learn? We are offering an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join our team as Fitter & Electrical Fitter Apprentices. This structured apprenticeship program will provide hands-on experience, technical training, and mentorship to help you build a solid foundation in mechanical and electrical fitting to become a successful Artisan. Standerton Oil Mills (Pty) Ltd is looking to recruit Local Lekwa Youth.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified Fitters and Electrical Fitters in maintenance, installation, and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Learn to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Participate in routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to safety standards and company procedures.
• Attend theoretical and practical training sessions as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science.
• N2 Certificate or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (advantageous).
• Pass internal competency tests.
• Proof of residential address.
• Preference will be given to applicants considered as South African Youth under the age of 35 years.
