Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Application Security Specialist in Mahikeng to ensure the security of software applications throughout their lifecycle. You will work with development teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, perform DAST/SAST testing, and promote secure coding practices.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of web application security, SSDLC principles, and 3+ years of security-focused experience, with familiarity using Burp Suite and OWASP ZAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in application security or software development with a security focus.
• Knowledge of common web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with security testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or similar.
• Familiarity with SSDLC principles.

Responsibilities
