Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Application Security Analyst (AI Training) to help build security-focused AI systems. You will analyze real-world security scenarios, classify vulnerabilities, and guide remediation strategies while producing datasets that teach AI to reason about risk.

This remote, hourly contract offers flexible hours (10–40 per week) and the chance to shape how AI understands application security while working with leading AI research labs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in application security, product security, or software security.
• Solid familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerabilities.
• Proven ability to assess real-world exploitability, not just textbook risk.
• Strong written communication skills to explain security reasoning clearly.
• Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote async environment.

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic application security scenarios across code, APIs, and system behavior
• Classify and explain vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, and business logic issues
