Entelect is seeking an Intermediate Android Software Engineer to join a dynamic, cross-functional team in a hybrid work model. You will apply your Android expertise to build scalable apps for leading South African clients, collaborating with product, design and QA to deliver high-quality software.

The role emphasises clean code, modern tooling (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Gradle, Firebase, Dagger) and continual learning, with leadership support and regular reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience as a software engineer in an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in software engineering fundamentals and clean code.
• Experience shipping Android apps at scale.
• Ability to architect and structure small projects within an enterprise context.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with customer-facing abilities.
• Experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Gradle, Firebase, and Dagger.

Responsibilities

• Develop Android apps for leading South African organisations.
• Enhance product quality via containerisation and CI/CD to support DevOps culture.
• Engage in SDLC activities from design to estimation.
